The Football Safety Officers Association (FSOA), based at Blackburn's Ewood Park, has appointed Manchester PR and digital agency Smoking Gun to plan and deliver its marcomms as it enters a new era.
The FSOA is made up of safety officers from professional and semi professional football clubs in England and Wales. It delivers behind the scenes services that help clubs run safe match-day operations, overseas trips and is an essential link agency between other official bodies.
The aim is to give the organisation a greater share of voice in key sporting media, communicate its newly established commercial offer to relevant football industry suppliers and to support this by developing a fresh website.
Its site plays a key role as an information gateway between the FSOA and stakeholders including the Premier League, Football Association, Football League, the Sports Grounds Safety Authority, various national policing bodies as well as local and national government agencies.
