Daily Record promotes assistant editor

The Daily Record has promoted Ewan Watt, assistant editor, to the role of digital editorial director.
Watt will be responsible for the development of editorial content on the Daily Record website, plus those of sister titles, the Sunday Mail and Business 7.
He will also play a key role in the future planning to transform the editorial operations into a fully integrated multi-media environment.
Iain Hepburn will continue in his role as Online Editor, responsible for the day-to-day running of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail websites.
Ewan Watt said: "My role will be more of a strategic and developmental one, particularly as we fully integrate the print and online sides of our newsroom.
I will also be heavily involved in helping the advertising and marketing teams to identify ways of bringing in revenue through ads and sponsorship."
